The successful candidate will report to and assist the General Manager in the general up keeping of the property, and in preventative maintenance and/or repairs of Mall facilities, machinery and equipment, as needed.
Under the guidance and supervision of the General Manager, duties will include:
Responsibilities:
Supervision and coordination of maintenance and housekeeping staff.
Preparation, monitoring and execution of the Property Maintenance Plan, which must include normal up keeping of the property, routine inspections and general maintenance of facilities, machinery, equipment and other types of assets used for the operation of the Mall, as well as appropriate response to service requests and work orders for repairs, as needed.
Safety checks and maintenance of mechanical equipment, light machinery and/or small engines.
Ensuring cleanliness in common areas of the Mall at all times, especially in high-traffic areas (daily trash removal, entrances cleaned, mirrors and windows wiped and cleaned, litter picked-up, surfaces dusted, floors swept and scrubbed, carpets vacuumed, etc.
).
Ensuring cleanliness and sanitizing of public restrooms, with disposables properly restocked (soap, toilet paper, paper towels).
Ensuring cleanliness in non-public areas of the Mall (back hallways, service corridors).
Providing maintenance and assuring cleanliness of parking lot, roadways and sidewalks.
Minor electrical system maintenance and repairs.
Structural repairs and painting of interior and exterior walls, ceilings, floors and doors, as needed.
Responding and attending to tenant requests for repairs of roof leaks, plumbing, electrical issues, and other similar incidents.
Snow and ice removal, when needed.
Setting up and removal of promotional materials, decorations and sets for events.
Grounds maintenance and landscaping.
Supervision and coordination with external service vendors and contractors.
Procurement and inventory management of tools, spare parts, cleaning supplies and other materials that are needed to carry out all the above duties.
Skills:
Physical condition to perform routine and/or heavy manual tasks.
Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.

Ability to safely use standard maintenance equipment and hand tools.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to use ladders and scissor lifts to reach high work areas, including building rooftops.
Ability to legally drive company-owned vehicles, with acceptable insurability.
Willingness to work all mall hours, including evenings, weekends and some holidays, as needed.
Willingness to work at least 40 hours weekly, and be on-call for emergencies during off-days.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
Proven work experience in facilities management, maintenance, construction or related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience.
Proven experience in managing and supervising staff.
Excellent communication, organizational, time management and leadership skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Apps (Gmail, Drive).
Valid driver's license.
Background check and pre-employment drug screening is required.
