Summary:
The Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician (PFT) is responsible for adhering to state and federal regulations in the performance of pharmacy-related data entry and patient registration activities.
The PFT is responsible for the resolution of third-party rejects and responding to high-volume customer inquiries working under direct supervision.
This position follows standard operating procedures and performs duties in accordance with SelectRx policies and procedures.
The PFT is also responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
The PFT runs automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications in support of the fulfillment site production process.

Using SelectRx prescription data entry procedures and guidelines processesnew patient registration by entering data into the Pioneer systemHandle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refillorders for processing.
Troubleshoots to obtain missing prescriptioninformation and interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes)Resolves all data entry-related exceptionsRun automated machinery sort medications and transition inventory throughdifferent workflow stages with a focus on quality controlCount and fill prescriptions affix labels pack and shipClean and help maintain machinery and keep the work area orderlyResolve Third Party Rejects by reviewing gathering information makingcorrections and resubmitting for processing according to individual planrequirementsProvides assistance to Pharmacists by identifying and communicating issuesto senior-level staff as appropriatePerforms duties and responsibilities according to the philosophy andstandards of SelectRx including conveying courtesy respect enthusiasm andpositive attitudes in work situations with clients peers and visitors; maintainsclient and associate confidentiality.
The individual is responsible forunderstanding all the applicable policies and procedures of the departmentnecessary to perform essential job functions as well as the employeehandbook.

Basic level PC skills (for example:
start up and shut down computer usemouse to point and click start and close programs switch between programssave files print documents and/or access information on-line)Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM touch typingformatting documents)Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing pulling graspingand lifting with or without reasonable accommodationHigh degree of interpersonal communication and organizational skillsProficiency in reading writing and speaking is requiredEducationand
Experience:
Preferred to have at least 1-year experience in a retail pharmacy fulfillment orcall center environment as a Pharmacy TechnicianMust have current Pharmacy Technician license or certification and maintain an active Pharmacy Technician CertificationHigh School diploma or equivalentRequirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the shift.
Ability to push pull lift or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday throughSaturday.
This position may occasionally require extended evening hours asjob duties demand.
