People and Culture Lead

Requisition ID:  214448 Project Overview: Pennsylvania Chemicals is a world-scale facility that will use ethane to produce 1.6 million tonnes of polyethylene per year.  The project will involve up to 6,000 workers during its construction and is expected to employ 600 permanent employees when completed. The ethylene / polyethylene complex is in the Ohio River Valley north of Pittsburgh.  It comprises an ethane cracker and three polyethylene units, plus OSBL including a gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration unit and a large storage-in-transit rail yard.   Role Overview: Based to Human Resources and working closely with the Project HR Manager, but will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, the role will include:   Guiding the leadership team as we set our project culture goals. Data collection - what is meaningful data we can collect and how to demonstrate where we are and our successes, and who is accountable - these should be directly tied to culture goals. Attracting talent - working with our customer to establish a presence with local schools, universities, union halls, and driving an active intern program. Developing an inclusive & respectful culture - working closely with our Care for People program working committee and steering committee, and the learning & development lead, to address current culture concerns - helping us execute the zero-tolerance policy, making reporting issues easier. Holding project resource groups accountable to their goals, making sure they align with the project priorities. Streamlining project communications around people and culture.   You will regularly coordinate with the OG&C People Strategy Manager to align project activities with the GBU and vice versa.   Essential job duties: Performs duties in some or all the following areas: Leveraging of data/insights from engagement and pulse surveys, exit interviews, etc. to advise leaders and employee groups on initiatives, interventions, and activities to pursue, execute, and assess. Execution of people-focused engagement, recognition, motivation, and wellbeing programs - with a specific focus on the project's Care for People program Monitoring and reporting on event/program metrics and impact Proactively owning and managing the Project's external brand as a great/differentiated place to work Proactively own and curate internal communications by developing and delivering internal communications activities, including planning, face-to-face engagement, communication tools, and change management, to align the goals and objectives of employees with those of the project. Design, produce and maintain content for a variety of communication tools such as Bulletins, project website, electronic messaging, newsletters, management presentations, etc. Develop content, messaging, graphics or videos needed for campaigns, roadshows, training, summits, workshops, etc.   General: Implements and maintains policies, procedures, and processes that ensure the project's communication needs are met in a consistent, efficient, and flexible manner. Conforms to the project's personnel policies, management instructions, and other relevant project policies and procedures. Supports project initiatives and utilizes appropriate project communication technology tools. Provides input to performance reviews of assigned staff. Collaborates with the customer to ensure consistent messaging across the project.   Basic Qualifications: Authentic charisma - ability to connect well and establish credibility and trust with employees in various and multi-generational demographics, and job functions. Creative, fun-loving, and always attuned to evolving engagement, morale, and mental/emotional/physical wellbeing needs of the organization. Experience creating and managing HR process, practices, and policies, to support a high growth organization. Good knowledge of US and international employment and cultural lifestyle practices Principled and disciplined thinker with intellectual horsepower, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for making a mark in a fast-paced, growing environment Bachelor's degree in HR or related business field is preferred, but not mandatory. Skilled in oral and written communications. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
