Piping Superintendent

Project Overview: Pennsylvania Chemicals is a world-scale facility that will use ethane to produce 1.6 million tonnes of polyethylene per year. The project will involve up to 6,000 workers during its construction and is expected to employ 600 permanent employees when completed. The ethylene / polyethylene complex will be located in the Ohio River Valley north of Pittsburgh. It comprises an ethane cracker and three polyethylene units, plus OSBL including a gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration unit and a large storage-in-transit rail yard.    Role Overview: The Piping Superintendent will work with project controls to gain a full understanding of the schedule and cost components that will be utilized for tracking progress and performance in the field. The responsibilities of the Piping Superintendent include the following: -Implementing the project ES&H program and quality control program.  -Providing leadership and championing the "Zero Accidents" philosophy.  -Coordinating craft safety training and enforcing safe work practices at all times in conjunction with the ES&H staff.  -Planning the craft manpower and interfacing with Industrial Relations for craft recruitment, hiring, and skills training programs.  -Supervising and coordinating the work activities of piping craft and maintaining overall responsibility for piping quality.  -Coordinating the needs of the piping crews for craft personnel, subcontractor support, construction services, construction equipment, tools, and consumables as well as optimizing their utilization.  -Preparing the weekly work plans in conjunction with the area planners.  -Preparing material requisitions for all tools and consumables required to execute the work and coordinating with procurement to obtain materials.   Basic Qualifications         Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline from an accredited university as well as a minimum of 10+ years relevant work experience, or 15years relevant experience in the absence of a degree.         Knowledge of constructiontechnologies.         Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.         Familiarity with current industry quality standards.         Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
